One of the most confusing questions to arise is whether the interaction between wild animals and humans is good or bad. It has been debated on where one side believes that animal interaction is good and the other side believes that animal interaction is harmful. Both the sides have their own opinion and own beliefs.
BENEFITS OF THE INTERACTION
Proper nutrition, medication, lifestyle, exercise and a positive attitude is what anyone needs in order to survive. The health depends on the emotional welfare of the being. When it comes to animals, they cannot use words to express their feelings of happiness or pain. Human and wildlife interaction is needed in order to care for them and take care of their needs.
If they are solitary, they won’t be able to express their desire for anything nor would they be able to get medication on time. All animals crave for human interaction and want to be loved. For their safety even, human interaction is required. Some species become endangered because of illegal poaching and hunting of the animals. Whether it is humans, plants or animals, each organism has their own role to play in maintaining the balance of the ecosystem.
Sometimes, one animal gets extinct due to which several other species get adversely affected. This, in turn, disturbs the overall food chain. But with the human interaction, animals are properly cared for and they don’t get extinct. Presently, animals are given rights too and are protected by laws.
PROBLEMS WITH THE INTERACTION
Some people get too close to the wild animals for interaction and forget that they are animal after all. An instance of animal attacks which kill humans or cause severe injuries has been reported. This happens because humans tend to get too close to the animals for comfort. It is important to keep security in mind while interacting with wild animals.
Instances of human cruelty have been reported too. Whether it is animals attacking humans or humans killing animals, the peace always gets disrupted. It becomes vital to maintain safety and tread with caution while interacting.
There are various diseases that get transmitted from animals to humans if the humans don’t pay caution. For example, influenza, salmonellosis, anthrax, arbovirus, brucellosis etc have been given by animals to humans. The zoonotic diseases are transmitted when humans interact with animals without taking required safety measures.
