The idea for the Hyperloop hotel was first pitched in 2013 by Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX. The aim was to build steel tubes across the United States for super fast functioning and creating a country-spanning subway networks. The sole motto of Hyperloop is “Broadband for transportation”.

The basic idea of Hyperloop is creating a high-speed transportation system that allows the movement of passengers or cargos in pods through the use of low-pressure tubes. Elon Musk holds the trademark for ‘Hyperloop’ through SpaceX which forbids any other company to use the term.

He had then said that he was too busy to build it. But apparently, he has now changed his mind. His idea revolved around a super fast, inter city and train in a tube concept called as Hyperloop which is a boon for the travelers who no longer need wait in the traffic for a long time.

He has now got a verbal government approval for building an underground Hyperloop from New York City to Washington D.C. The Boring Company, which is again another company of Elon Musk, would be handling the construction of the Hyperloop. The main goal of the Hyperloop is that the implementation of the large network of the tunnels built on a deeper level might be able to fix the issue of congestion in the city regardless of the size.

Even though there are some issues with the idea, the company has already begun digging the tunnels down in the Los Angeles. The firm aims to build different types of transportation systems within those tunnels. For example, some of them can be pressurized tunnel having 125+ mph speeds of electric skates and some can allow the speed to go as high as 600+ mph.

Hyperloop is a venture that looks really promising and if carried out perfectly, can reduce the time wasted in a traffic jam. On testing, Hyperloop One fired the first pod through the low-pressure tube and managed to reach 192 mph in mere five seconds. SpaceX has managed to build a 1-mile long hyperloop tube with a vacuum of 0.02 psi to 14.7 psi.

The vision Elon Musk which envisions the Hyperloop running in the underground tunnels is an ambitious project.  But no one can deny the fact that Elon Musk is the same man who managed to recycle the rocket boosters easily.
