NASA’S ASTEROID CHASER SWINGS BY EARTH ON WAY TO SPACE ROCK

On its way back to a space rock, NASA’s asteroid chaser spacecraft would swing by Earth. Osirix-Rex was launched a year back and swung by planet Earth, right above Antarctica within 17,700 kilometres.

WHAT MAKES US HUMAN?

Mammals and humans are made of same flesh and blood and the basic life stages are also same. The evidence of continuity in evolution is prevalent between the human and animal bodies. Medical science also uses some animal organs and tissues for replacing or repairing the human’s organs or tissues.

DERIVING MORE ENERGY FROM THE SUN

The energy derived from the sun is known as solar energy. The sun has been present since the very beginning of the planet Earth. During the daytime, the sun acts as a source of light and keeps the planet warm.

THE IPA CLAIM GLOBAL WARMING IS JUNK SCIENCE

DEMYSTIFYING THE SOLAR SYSTEM

The solar system comprises of a star and all the objects that travel around it- moons, planets, comets, asteroids, meteoroids etc. Solar systems can have more than one star called as binary star systems; with more than two stars they are known as multi-star systems.

HOW ARE THE GALAXIES AND OUR SUN POSITIONED?

Our Solar system consists of the stars, the Sun, and all the planets that orbit around it including the Earth. It also includes numerous moons, asteroids, comets, rocks and dust. The Sun is simply one star amongst the hundreds of billions of the stars present in the Milky Way Galaxy.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF SATELLITES?

Being a kid, a question that always haunted my mind was, when I walk at night why is the moon always moving with me in my direction? If we look into the scientific reason now, we can reason it out. Satellite can be defined as celestial body that surrounds any planet and rotates around it. For example, moon is a satellite that surrounds Earth and rotates around it. Any satellite has its own independent orbit. There are two types of satellites – Artificial satellite and natural satellites.

Newly Discovered Super-Earth May Harbour Life

Scientists have discovered a new earth-like exoplanet orbiting a red dwarf planet some 40 light years away from earth.
